Upon the desert shore
Where ocean breeze meets heat
Sending sand along the street
Dunes forming in the corners
That go unnoticed
By the bustling crowds
Unburdened by their home
Stand upon the high towers
To watch the storms afar
Formless giants
Moving across the desert
Always threatening
To crash into the city walls
Yet no one fears their wrath
Contrary to the sight
Of smiling citizens and life
The desert is the harshest mistress
With creatures in the dunes
And hungry winds at every door
These people thrive
Against nature’s will

Great poem! I love the first few lines:)

Definitely paints a great picture. I was trying to work in the idea that the city is in a desert, but also on the ocean coast.
