Limping On Into The Sun

A week of pain
Has been left behind
It seemed to try its worst
Death and sadness
Lackluster moods
A diet dashed to the rocks
All culminating
In a day of agony and stress

That time has passed
A week anew
I’m tired of the games
Deadlines can kiss my ass
Only miracles are overnight
I wish to go the distance
Forging my path
With a sword of my own design

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Hell yeah! Come out swinging big dog! Poetry should bring out the emotion and this one did. Speaking of poetry, are you still slacking on the next collection? πŸ˜€ Not like you have anything else going on you know… he he he
