Goal Post: Apples and Editing

Capybara

Capybara

Guess this will be short because my goals are staying the same for the most part.  Today I head out with the family to take the toddler apple picking.  It’s his first time, so this should be a lot of fun.  No wifi in the orchard, so I’ll be gone until the evening.  Plus side is that my dad is driving, so I can sleep in the car.

The goals for this week are simple:

  1. Don’t fall asleep in the apple orchard.
  2. Edit more of Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune.  Can feasibly finish the hand edits within two weeks.
  3. Edit Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies when time permits.
  4. Eat lunch.
  5. Keep using Supernatural as background noise even though I found one of the seasons I never saw.  For some reason, I’m getting a lot done with this show on.
  6. Hope the cough goes away and I can get back to my biking.
  7. Cook dinners if need be.
  8. Plan dinners for the week parents are away.
  9. Remember to wear pants when leaving the house.
  10. Hopefully get another IM/CY production post done for Thursday.  Purchase cupcake bribery kit.

Those are the goals and I believe most of them are doable.  A lot of them seem to deal with food too.  I can’t have lofty goals every week.  Seriously, all I do around here is edit, write, clean a few things, cook dinner, and play with the toddler.  My past is a lot more interesting than my present.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. #9 could be interesting if you don’t make your goal.

  3. If you forget #9, it may do wonders for your publicity. 🙂

  4. Yay for 5! Love that show, wrote my dissertation on it and have a playlist on my comp that’s the songs from every single episode, seasons 1 – 5. Not to mention the FBI Wanted poster I picked up the other week, the books I have based on the series…okay, enough fangirling. Good luck with your goals!

enjoy your day apple picking with the family… bumper harvest this year in Ontario and Quebec so I assume it’s the same where you are as our weather is very similar…

  6. LOL and Supernatural as background noise…I use the Australian home shopping channel as my background noise (not sure what that says about me unless maybe it’s that I’m shallow).

Sorry Charles, but if I can hijack this comment for a question – have you heard from Briana lately? Every time I try to go to her blog I just get lots of html-like code so I’m wondering if there is something wrong with my connection or whether she’s gone offline or something? just want to be sure she’s ok and I thought you might know.

LOL…#9, I have gone to work with my scrub pants on inside-out many times, but never without any on. Still laughable. Planning dinners when the hubby is away consists of checking the frozen food section to see what Lean Cuisine meals I haven’t eaten yet.

    • We used to make a dinner list around here, but we forgot for this week. I hate Lean Cuisine type stuff only because part of it is always cold when I cook it even 30 seconds more than the rest. I’m trying to eat healthier, which sucks when you’re on a budget.

I only do the Lean Cuisine to save time and energy…it all tastes like bell pepper, the only flavorful ingredient in it. Why does healthy eating have to be so very expensive? Like organic fruits and veggies…if they are not paying to spray it with chemicals…it ought to be more affordable!

      • Because they know that people going for that food might be ‘desperate’ and on a strict diet that they’ll pay anything not to break.
