Jason Pedersen, the artist behind my covers, sent me this sketch of a possible cover for Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies. It’s just a preliminary, but I thought I would share to get people going ooh and aah. The sketch is of Sari the Gypsy dancing, which she does tend to do. Thinking about it, she’s always moving, spinning, or doing something physical. Guess I gave her some hyperactivity without realizing it.

I have always been sort of enchanted by the gypsy lifestyle. It is a really cool first sketch. I am eager to see the final…more than that, I am eager to get on with my reading of the series.

I’m happy to hear people are reading the series too. Got another 1-star review, which was more of a personal attack. First time I’ve gotten one so insulting.

That’s just disgusting. I still can’t understand why Amazon can’t remove those when it is so obvious that they are spiteful.

Because they’re still ‘viable’. They’re more concerned with paid for reviews and friends/family reviews. The worst ones are reviews that complain about delivery times or the package being damaged, which is beyond the author’s control.

I didn’t even think about those. That would probably be a big issue for paperbacks. Still sorry to hear that you rating has to be affected because of some jerk.

I’m hoping a few more 5 and 4 stars turn up. A lot of people who supported me at the beginning of my first book have disappeared.
