Character Poem: The Hellfire Elf

HellfireFlatsDemonic assassin
Born from fear and fire
Nursed on delicious pain
Putrid magic in its veins
Hidden by armored skin
Resembling armor spiked and thick
Any form is his to take
As he stalks his prey
A juggernaut of pride and death
Few have survived their hunt
With body and mind intact

Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower Coming July 31st!!!!

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Okay…I know this is going to sound really weird considering his position and all, but he was one of my favorite characters even though he was a bad guy. It was in the creative way that he came into being and what he represented throughout the story that made me like the character. I won’t say anymore because I don’t want to spoil it for others, but this was a thoughtfully planned out and most useful character in Beginning of a Hero.

  2. Great poem. I’ve always had a soft-spot for the bad guy, they are often so misunderstood. πŸ™‚

  3. Great poem, Charles – I loved the line “juggernaut of pride and death.”
