Way cool! I read you next and then Eye Dancers. I am supposed to read The God Delusion for my book club, but I may sit this one out. It looks like an awful heavy read to me and I am an agnostic with my mind pretty well made up. I don’t like reading about either deeply religious or anti-religious subject matter. I am sort of a non-practicing Buddhist/Hindu not exactly new age person who believes in an Omnipotent Spiritual entity somewhere in our Universe. I happen to call that entity God, for lack of a better word, and so that other people might have some understanding that I do claim a faith…just not a traditional one. (No, I am not a Christian Scientist, but the ancient alien theory is starting to make sense to me.) Not that you asked, but sometimes I ramble. My apologies.

No problem. I’m always interested in hearing the ideologies of other people as long as they’re given in a polite way like you just did.
Hopefully, the gods of Windemere meet your approval. Especially Gabriel because he’s a jerk. 😉

I am sure they will. I like the concept that they oldest faith in the world , Hindu, has about the many Gods and the blue Gods that were here in ancient times and returned to the heavens. That is not just a legend, but written into their history. These avatars traveled back and forth between heaven and earth, and engaged humans in wars at times, and their weapons described in their history are also fascinating. I just find all that stuff like that fascinating. Probably why I do enjoy fantasy.

My gods are closer to the Greek and Romans with their private area and occasional interference. They’ve become more caretakers of the world, which is something I’m going to play with a few times in other series. As powerful as they are, the gods of Windemere have a rule that makes them dependent on mortal action.

That’s interesting. The Greek and Roman Gods are more regal, more civilized, in regard to their specific domains. I am curious about the Gods and other characters in your books and how the immortal interface with the mortal. Who seeks dominion over who and such. Don’t tell me tho.

I won’t. It gets explained briefly in the first book, but is more prominent in the second. The relationship between gods and mortals is explained in most of my series.

I’m sure it is. I think. Her specialty is fire, so I’m going to assume she knows what she’s doing.

I almost got violet contacts when I was younger. But then I freaked out when I tried putting them in my eyes! lol

I’m scared to try contacts. The thought of something going that close to my eye makes me edgy.

Me too! I have a rough time when they try and do the glaucoma test on my eyes. I’ve never liked anything near my eyes. Then when someone told me that they can roll backwards…I ran as fast as I could! lol

I can handle watching the eye-rolling, but one of my favorite pro wrestlers as a child was Undertaker. I think he made me immune.

I watched the Undertaker too. The Rock…Stone Cold, etc. lol I just don’t think I could handle having my contact slip around to the back of my eye. I would freak out!
