The crater is big
That’s an understatement
It looks barren down there
Not from what I can see
I wonder how far down it is
Jump and find out
The sight is simply staggering
Yeah, Yeah. Can I go now
The wind is getting stronger
I’m more concerned about the blinding sun
Are there any rivers down there
Not the damn crater again
I’m leaving without you
This is another poem I wrote in Israel. Our first two weeks were in the Negev Desert and we stayed in a group of houses near a cliff. It looked like a vast crater and I spent some time staring out over it. This was my first attempt at a ‘two voice’ poem.

I know..it hides every once in a while on most blogs I visit…though it may not be me it doesn’t like, it might be Internet Explorer…who knows? 🙂

That could be it. Have you ever tried it in another browser like Firefox or Google Chrome?

I’m not sure how to get/use other browsers…I’m quite the luddite really. 🙂

You can download Firefox for free by going to their site.

If you do that do you have to find all your favourites and bookmarks et again in firefox or does it transfer over?

It doesn’t delete Internet Explorer, so you won’t lose anything. Unfortunately, I don’t believe it does an automatic transfer.
This site says how to do the transfer: http://tinyurl.com/nbxev4t

Very nice, especially for a first two-voice attempt. 🙂

Thanks. I’m surprised some of these old poems are able to hold their own. I wrote them 14 years ago.

Love the photo and the poem. I must admit, for a moment there I thought you were channeling D from D/A Dialogues 🙂

I think he’s been a bad influence since I wrote up a guest post for D/A Dialogues. This one is all me at 18. 😀
