I Got Nothing

Due an impending date with Captain Back Pain, I can’t think of anything.  A little panicked and annoyed that this seems to have been caused by the fact that this house is being quite at a balmy 80 degrees.  I’ve written two posts that I deleted.  I have a poem showing up later, but I was trying to think of something more prose and meaty.

So, anybody know of something I can write about?  Taking subject requests for the week.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

How about a post on fighting off guilt when you’re sidelined with pain or illness? How do you justify taking time off from writing when you simply don’t feel up to it?

Oh, I sooo hear ya. Too hot. Can’t think. I was up ALL night second guessing myself. And last week I told YOU to cheer up. Now it’s my turn to fight the depression bear.

  3. Hot, in pain, and dehydrated is a terrible way to start the week. I hope things are going to get better for you soon. How about another post about being a writer and a parent?

I’m sorry pain has derailed you. And since you’re facing pain, why not write about the imperiled hero–how to make your pain (your experience of it) his gain (using your pain to inform your hero’s suffering)?

Sorry about the pain. For dehydration drink electrolytes… Gator Aid is good but fattening, Pedialyte is non-caloric but disgusting. It’s hot here too. I don’t have central air and we’re expecting 39C (102F) with the humidity today.

  8. How about: A quick short story about an author who is dehydrated and in pain but must finish a story or the madman fan who broke into his house demanding that the story be written his way will shoot him

  9. Pain is no fun! I hope you get feeling better soon! How about you blog about things that make you smile…like your favorite book or song, or your favorite memory so far this year?

I haven’t read your first book and maybe you answer some of these questions and I’ll just have to find out later, but I would like to know more about Fizzle. Already, I am in love with him. He is adorable. I love Tolkien, but beyond that I have not read a lot of fantasy…some fantasy-like sci-fi, but that is about it. I know he likes apples. What are dragons supposed to eat? Do mean dragons kill for sport or for food? Do they hatch or are they born live? Does he/she have any siblings? is it a he or a she? What happened to his parents? Where did he come from? How old is he? How long do dragons live? Tell me more if you can.

😦 Let’s see – so…you wrote already the gun to the head story. Did that help? If not…suppose writing about getting a massage.
This back is becoming a problem 😦 Are you getting up from your chair for 15 minutes – at least – an hour? Hope you feel better

    • I’m getting up from the chair and moving around. This seems to be dehydration and stress induced. It’s in the 80’s and muggy at the coolest points of the day and I wasn’t too smart with the water the day before. I truly despise summer at times.
