Back to the Land of the Semi-Standing

A big thank you to everyone who helped with the Bestiary of Blatherhorn Vale tweet blast and an extra thank you to Ionia for setting it up.  I really appreciate it.  Beginning of a Hero got a decent sales boost overnight because of it.  Yeah, I’m kind of confused on that one too.  Promote one book and the other one sells?  Maybe I’m reading the screen wrong or I’m dreaming of . . . the usual dream items aren’t around, so that’s a no.

As for my back, it survived the night.  It’s still sore like it went a few rounds with a professional boxer.  Also, my legs are a little on the weak side.  So, my biking is going to be a ‘no’ for today.  Probably going to drive out to pick up some Icy Hot or heating strip or something to help if this happens again.

My goals for the week have been thoroughly trashed.  At least in terms of chapter section writing and future series planning.  Since my dad took over the toddler yesterday while I was ‘sick’, he won’t be helping me today.  Add in the morning errands when the stores open and I’m not getting much done.  I have to say that as an author, I don’t like 4-day weeks.  Losing that 5th day removes any time cushion that you can make if you try to work with weekly goals.  I’m going to have another 4-day week next week too.  This month is going to be very conducive to writing.

So, I’ll try to get through various posts that I missed last night until the stores open and I have to wander into the world.  Probably make a few origin posts today or something to help with creativity.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Oh! I’m so glad you’re better! Have you ever tried a “Bed Buddy”? No. Not that kind, rofl. They are sold near the heating pads. Long and narrow – great for in front of the chair pillow. You heat them for like 2 mins in th e microwave.

    • I think my wife had one, but we threw it out. I have an old-school heating pad that I use. Not being about to lie still for very long made that impossible, so a warm shower worked out best.
