This Pineapple Tastes Inky . . . and Leaves Papercuts

In a true act of writing splendor, I just tried to eat the first page of my edited book.  I mean, my tongue actually touched the paper as I held it.  While I have no defense for this sudden act of insanity, I have an explanation.  I have pineapple slices on my right where the edited manuscript used to sit.  I thought I put them on my left.  The defense simply dies when I can’t explain why I didn’t notice I was holding a piece of paper and not a slice of pineapple before I tried to eat it.

I’m wondering if I should call it a day before I realize that I’ve devoured my prologue.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

I think this is just your way of proving that your writing is a full body experience. If anyone ever asks you can now say you eat sleep and breathe your writing, all you have to do is sniff the manuscript and have a nap on it:)

Nothing like the taste of paper and ink in the morning. I have made that mistake as well. Laser focus upon what you are doing eliminates vision for everything else. This is how you mistake paper for a pb n j sandwich. Or in your case, pineapple.

Lol. I’ve heard about ‘eating your words’, but this is too much. 😀
