Sleep Denied

Exhausting week

With restless rests

And toiling in the day

Blissful weekend

To recover strength

Yet someone won’t allow

The watcher sleeps

Allowing tiny feet to wander

Sticky hands find mischief

Leaving messes in their wake

The wrong parent sleeps in

Again

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. Sleep is overrated my friend…. hehehehe. Love the poem! Not bad considering the kind of week you’ve had… tooth, etc… 😉

It really was a bizarre week. Got on various Amazon lists, sold over 500 ebooks, crippled by stomach pain for a day, and then a cracked tooth. I’d like to say this all evens out, but I’m still tallying the totals.
