Ever Have Trouble Finding a Title for Posts?

I’ve officially sent in my first author interview, which I’m going to link to as soon as it goes live.  I’d like to say that it gets my personality across, but that includes my nervous jitteryness (I stand by this fake word).  Eh, it seems to work for some people and it’s my first attempt.

This brings me to Catalysts and The Pen Name.  I’m not sure what to do with these novellas.  They’re experiments that are still in the cover art stage, which is a stage that I might as well build a summer home in.  I’ve seen a lot of people put things like this up for KDP Select and mark them for free.  They’re ‘throwaways’ for lack of a better term, so their best use is probably to bring attention to me.  Maybe an eventual rise to .99 cents, but no higher than that.  It’s been suggested that I use the novellas to cushion long periods of time between books, so I have time because the first big gap will probably be between books 4 and 5.

Has anybody ever put a novella or short story up for free under KDP Select?  How did it do and did it help your other books?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog for a little while today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as good as when I arrived. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks!
