Who’s In Charge Here? (Also, some rambling)

Well, I just hit a point in my drama novella that means I will probably be done by the end of the week.  A few characters have decided to come out entirely different than I wanted them.  Sucks when the story’s jackass is actually a nice guy who wouldn’t betray the main character for anything.  It also sucks when your plan to drive a wedge between two characters is met with an impenetrable barrier of ‘NO!’  I swear, these characters are laughing at me behind my conscious thoughts and plotting against me.

So, one chapter is being tossed to the dumpster along with the 4 characters introduced in that chapter.  It no longer makes any sense and is just four sections of filler at this point.  This means that if I keep up the 2 sections/weekday, I’ll be done with this by the end of Friday.  That means editing of Family of the Tri-Rune will begin over weekend.

Now, the question is what do I do with these novellas.  Maybe I’ll keep them as website exclusives and eventually release a compilation of them on Kindle when I get up to 4.  Though, I have no idea how I would write a book blurb for something like that.  It would have a horror, a drama, a log-style comedy, and a psychological thriller.  Probably best to keep it at four and do another compilation when I finish the other four.

Uh, what was the point of this post again?

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
