I have to admit that I haven’t had this level of happy, giddy, manly-as-a-schoolgirl feeling in years. Today, I will finish Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune, which is the 4th book of the series. I have two sections left and I’ve already plotted them out in my head. It has been years since I finished a fresh book. This also will free up my night to fine-tune the outline for Legends of Windemere: The Compass Key.
Tomorrow, I will start the next novella The Pen Name, which is my attempt at a drama. This takes me away from action, magic, and everything that I’m used to. There has been enough dramatic scenes in my novels to make me feel partially confident about this endeavor. It also helps that I feel like I’m on a creative roll that I haven’t had since my college days where I was churning out character, plot ideas, monsters, and all manner of fiction every day.
So the status of all my projects are the following:
- Legends of Windemere: Beginning of a Hero- Cover art in progress
- Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower- Cover art in progress
- Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies- Wife editing/Cover art in progress
- Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune- 2 sections away from completion
- Catalysts- Cover art in progress
- Rest of Legends of Windemere series- Initial outlines done and waiting their turn
- The Pen Name- Outline & characters done; will be started tomorrow
- All other series that I’ve thought up over the years- waiting their turn for detailed notebook entries (Thankfully, Clyde was given his entries and can finally stop threatening me.)
I’m not usually a gloating person, but I have to admit that I’m proud that I have this much done. True, I always dreamed of getting to this point when I was in my twenties. Yet, as I found out yesterday, Stan Lee created Spider-Man in his 40’s and that is when his career really took off. I’m younger than that, so it’s never too late to make an impact.

Great job.

Thanks. It’s starting to give me an unstoppable feeling, which is refreshing after a weekend of doubt.

I’m jealous! On top of all of that, you’re blogging regularly. Keep up the great work!

Thanks. I just got a look at my partially finished cover art for Beginning of a Hero, so I’m definitely looking at an early February release of the first book.
I wouldn’t be too jealous though. I’m unemployed and job hunting. It gives me a lot of free time to write and blog, but there’s that whole ‘bills to pay’ issue. So, there is a dark side to my current run of completing projects. 🙂

Thanks. I actually just typed the last word of Family of the Tri-Rune, so I’m at that comical point where I’m not sure what to do. Ran out of beer to toast myself with yesterday too. 🙂
