Poetry Day: Night of the Ghost Dance

Minions from Despicable Me

(A fun little poem about ghosts and dancing.  Enjoy.)

Starry skies are set abuzz
Killing all but a lonely echo

Evil rises in moonlight dim
Leaving their shadowy tomb

Ears of vapor listen for the concerti
To tell them when to dance

Once it starts, the dance is endless
No ghost will resist the magic

Summoning all without flesh
A night of fun in the spectral gala

Making the world of death idyllic
Before the sun begins its daily arch
And ends the ghosts’ euphoria

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
