Questions 3: Primordial Forces

I think the comic sums up me trying to write these posts, but I felt I had already dedicated enough brain cells to it to keep going.  Now, I’ll just hand off the end of the week to everyone else.

  1. What would you say is a very important primordial force of the universe?
  2. Which primordial force would you want to control?
  3. If someone asks you if you’re a god, do you say yes or no?

    1. I couldn’t answer the first one, so number 2 is now the first question here. I would say Thanos is a good example of the danger of control since he snapped people out of existence. I’m glad I don’t have that sort of power.

    The nuclear force is a very important primordial force of the universe.

    I want to control gravity. I think it would be hysterical to see some deserving folks float off into space.

    Having learned a lesson in Ghostbusters I, I would always say yes if someone asks me if I am a god.

    1. What would you say is a very important primordial force of the universe? Entropy, I think. Things cannot exist without the ebb and flow. Things that get hot have to cool, or they will melt. Things cannot grow endlessly without resting, or they break down.
    2. Which primordial force would you want to control? Weather. I would help break up heat domes, ease droughts, moderate hurricanes.
    3. If someone asks you if you’re a god, do you say yes or no? I would say, “Wouldn’t you like to know.”

      I’m curious if controlling primordial weather is different than regular weather. I would assume that primordial stuff is what came before a lot of what exists now came into being.

    What would you say is a very important primordial force of the universe? The force that binds protons and neutrons together: the strong nuclear force. I think without it, there would be no matter, or at least no matter as we know it. Perhaps there would be no life, as there would be no atoms to form life.

    Which primordial force would you want to control? I would like nothing short of total control over the Universe. Perhaps by having control of simply one thing: the speed limit imposed by the universe upon everything that moves in it. Increasing and slowing that speed limit at will. I would like to think you are familiar with the number, 186,282.397

    If someone asks you if you’re a god, do you say yes or no? Interesting last question. Perhaps in a way my answer to question 2 also answers question 3? However, that might depend on your perspective of my answer to question 2. I wonder then, from your question number 3, what defines ‘god’. Who defines ‘god’. What might we be judging ourselves against when deciding yes or no to your last question? I personally have no definition for god.

      1. It is interesting to think of one of science’s 4 primordial forces being the most important. Strong nuclear force is certainly required for life. Yet, life would be dead without gravity or electromagnetic forces to shape the world. Guess this is why we can’t have only one primordial force.

      2. Not familiar with that number, so I had to look it up. I was thinking about control of the speed of light when you were talking though. My brain has never been the best at retaining numbers. My math grades would attest to this. Anyway, control over that force would be scary. Don’t think anyone could stop a being like that.

      3. God would be whoever or whatever you want it to be. Could be everything. Could be nothing. Could be a flea that watches us from the shadows. Could be an ancient Sumerian deity of destruction who is resurrected on top of a New York City skyscraper. The concept is fairly fluid. 😀
