Happy Last Minute Shopping Day!

Can’t say I’m surprised that Christmas Eve is also ‘Last Minute Shopping Day’.  Well, I hope everyone hasn’t fallen into that category.  That way, you can just relax at home and rest up for whatever happens at night.  I assume the tree covered in lights comes to life and you have to survive its wrath until Santa Claus comes down the chimney with a milk-and-cookie-powered flamethrower to save you.  I’m guessing the wreath creates a protected room you can hide in and the presents act as tripping hazards for the enraged tree?  Anyway, enjoy the funnies.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Nice memes! I just wrapped up the presents last night, too. Thankfully I got all my Christmas shopping done for my friends and family. Also, I hope you had a great Hanukkah this month!

    • Hanukkah was good. Thanks. It’s not really a major holiday for Jews. Bigger in this country due to proximity to Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas.

That’s good. Really? I didn’t know it wasn’t that major of a holiday for the Jewish community, but I get what you mean since it’s close to Christmas. I’m glad it was still good though. Thank you.

      • It’s considered a minor holiday and is big due to popularity. Though I guess it’s gained major status in certain sects.

Alright. I was aware of the history of the holiday, but I didn’t know that it was a minor holiday. It’s good that there’s recognition for Hanukkah and people can celebrate that holiday during that time period. Why do some sects celebrate it as a major holiday more than others? If you find that question too prying, then I understand if you don’t want to answer. I was just curious.

      • It’s hard to fully explain. I guess the less strict ones celebrate Hanukkah at a similar level to Christmas to fit in. They don’t isolate themselves from other cultures. The more orthodox you go, the more traditional you are in culture, location, and beliefs. If that makes any sense.

That’s fine and I get what you’re saying. It’s something I wasn’t aware of when it came to the different sects and denominations in regards to that holiday.
