So ends a productive and relaxing-ish summer. (Yeah, I’m writing this in April, but I’m determined to make this true.) As I go back to work, I’ll leave everyone with some funnies to kick off the week. (All images found by Google Image Search.)

The last time I was sorry for the passing of summer was in 1963. Since then, like the cartoon, I missed every summer. Here’s hoping the fall is fun.

Fall is going to be chaotic. With school starting up, it’s always crazy. Not at the same level as spring, but it’ll be a roller coaster.

I think the last time I was sorry to see summer go was in high school! This summer has been so dry and so very hot, I am not sorry to see it go. But then, I’m retired and have that luxury!

The weather has been pretty rough. Still, I did enjoy sleeping in when I could. Mostly due to long covid, but those days are behind me now. I hope I can have the luxury of retirement one day. 🙂

Summer was over for me the moment I graduated from college.

I had that for a while. Education is different, but it also meant I didn’t work. Thinking of trying for something next year as long as I can find a camp for my son. Not much out there for teenagers.

It’s hard for educators who still have to go to meetings in the summer or need activities for their kids.

Yeah. I would have gladly worked summer school if I knew what my son’s schedule was going to be. I’ll need to make sure there’s a plan made early enough for me to put in for the positions next year.
