Personal Anthem?

I’ve been thinking a while about doing a list of songs that show how I’m feeling or describe myself.  It’s something that I’ve done in the past, but it’s fun to use newer songs.  To be honest, I haven’t had any luck finding the perfect one . . . ever.  It’s either too dark or too happy or has only one aspect that fits me.  So, I didn’t have many hopes for what I was going to use this time.

Then, I began hearing ‘Overwhelmed’ by Royal & the Serpent.

Honestly, this one has me thoroughly pegged.  I can even remember having the reactions that are mentioned like eyeing exits when in a crowd.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. Great Video. That falling chandelier was the best. You could do worse for an anthem.

I couldn’t pick one song myself. This one is just one of the ones I think about–“Elevate” from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc-zx6QiJps
