Thanks. I wonder if some people avoided liking and commenting because of them. Just thought of that now.

Doubt it. People are just busy right now. Interaction is down, but they’re still out there.

Love all of these. Need all of these. Especially the one about coffee. Coffee works. Chocolate works also. And cookies.

I think pastries in general work. Could really go for a cheesecake now.

Glad you enjoyed them. 🙂 Curious how they would work around a desk.

How about; WARNING! Anyone Who Gets On My Nerves Will End Up In One Of My Stories Either As A Victim, A Stooge, Or Some Other Embarrassing Form Of Comic Relief!

I’ve made that threat and it seems to backfire. Family and friends end up bugging me about the character afterwards. I’m still getting comments on stuff I based off them when I was in high school. Not sure how other people manage to get away with it.

I’ve found that when people find out I write they want to tell me the craziest thing they either did or had done to them. Free material if nothing else.

Very cool reaction. I tend to get them telling me about the book they always wanted to write. Sometimes even with a request for me to ghostwrite, which is always awkward. I need better artist circles. That free material one sounds a lot more beneficial.

It can be. No one has ever told me about the book they wanted to write, but then again a lot of people I’ve hung out aren’t exactly ‘literate.’ 😀

It happened more in college than recently. I guess there is a story in everybody. Just not sure why some think I should write it for them. 😜 I’ve got a few friends like that. At least those that will judge a book by its movie/tv show.

I went ahead and started a live drama show at the local community television station because I figured that’s the surest way to find an audience for my writing.

Sounds like a smart move. 🙂 Never thought of that.

I was inspired by CBS’s live production of Fail Safe back in 1999. It combined the continuity of performance of theatre with the far reachingness of the visual medium. And I’m going to be looking for scripts from other writers soon, so if you happen anybody that would like to see a short play of theirs televised… 😉

I’ll keep an eye out. Don’t know any playwrights these days, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are authors out there with a script hidden up their sleeves. Never saw Fail Safe, but it sounds like the recent Live Peter Pan and Rocky Horror Picture Show that Fox did. Really cool.

Thanks! NBC also got into live TV with Hairspray and The Wiz. Next December they’re doing Bye Bye Birdie

Forgot about those two. Seems live TV plays are getting a revival.
