Gravity Movie Still (at least that’s what the image name said)
Tether has been cut
Not by my own hand
I drift away
From the world below
Passing into shadows
Bumped and buffered
Shoved in directions
I wish not to follow
Forced to go limp
Or break
I know not what I want
Stability or solitude
A corner of darkness
To call my own
And drift for all of time
About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Ominous, particularly with that image.

Thanks. Wasn’t the first image I was thinking of, but it was all over the ‘adrift’ image search.

I was thinking of Gravity before I noticed the caption. But some days I feel like this emotionally.

It’s been a rather common emotional state this year.

Good description of the idea of being cast adrift. Lots of feelings like that in this business. Thanks.

Glad you enjoyed. Definitely works for being an author too. 🙂
