About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day.     George Carlin in one of my favorite social commentators. Many didn’t like him because of his later-life-crass humor, but he certainly knew how to touch the heart of an issue. I miss the guy. The year of his death, HBO ran a marathon of specials featuring his best routines. I managed to watch each and every one. As crazy as it sounds, I was in my element. What a wonderful influence he was on my writing. Miss the guy (yes, I said that twice).

      Didn’t know that about the HBO specials. Don’t think I had the channel at the time. I remember hearing a tape of his in high school, but I never really got into watching stand up comedy until later. Knew him more from when he turned up in movies. He’s definitely one of the greatest comedians ever.
