So begins the month long series where 13 of my characters will be interviewed with the questions given way back in July. I tried my best with these since I found that some questions didn’t entirely mesh with others. A few even put me in a rough spot with future stories. Now I did alter the most of the ones that broke the 4th wall. Anyway, let’s move on with our first randomly chosen character:
Timoran Wrath By Kayla Matt
- If you had the choice of any occupation, what would you actually like to be?

I come from a hunter and warrior people, so this is a more difficult question than you realize. Perhaps a scholar since I enjoy philosophy. It would be a peaceful life unlike the one I have now. Though I would probably be that along with a hunter because my physical strength should be utilized as well.
. - Do you have any hobbies that you would like to be able to spend more time on?
.
As stated, I enjoy reading and discussing philosophy. In my youth, I experimented with woodcraft and fishing. Only the latter stuck since it gave me time to think and my large hands did not get in the way.
. - What’s your favorite meal?
.
Ifrit mead along with roasted dread boar, sauteed potatoes, crunchy asparagus, and several water pears. I am not very picky about the bread that is included.
. - Do you play any musical instruments–if so, what? If you don’t, what would you like to play?
.
I learned to play the drums, but mostly for rituals. I am sure I could do more if given the chance. The way we use the instrument is not very complicated since it is by hand instead of with sticks.
. - Is there any one in particular that you wish you didn’t have to be around?
.
Stephen. He makes my skin crawl.
. - Have you ever been strongly attracted to someone and it never developed?
.
I am sure most people have gone through this. Unrequited love is fairly common, especially among the young. For myself, I have never been in the situation. My love life has been relatively straightforward and simple.
. - Are you surprised about what you have become? Is this what you expected when you were a child?
.
Being a champion was not something I ever considered or even knew about until I met Luke, Nyx, and Sari. As a child, I knew I would be a great warrior and leader. Yet that was in the realm of my tribe. So it is rather overwhelming to think that my role in Windemere is bigger than I dreamed of. Not that I would trade this life for something else because it is what it is.
. - What is your biggest fear?
.
Betraying my friends even by accident and magic. I do not entirely trust the manipulation of auras, but my friendship with Nyx is helping with that. I guess it is helping with the first fear as well.
. - If you could change places with another person in Windemere, who would it be and why?
.
This is such an odd question. One would have to be unhappy with his or her life to answer it correctly. Jealousy seems to be a part of it as well. Personally, I would not switch with anyone. Especially since it means they would have to face my hardships.
. - What makes you happy?
.
Many things. Being in nature, a glorious battle, Ifrit mead, spending times with friends, and fishing are a few of my joys.
. - What does teamwork mean to you?
.
It means supporting your companions and them returning the favor. Not in everything, but when it counts. One must know the strengths and weaknesses of your allies in order to work efficiently. So there is a lot of trust, honesty, and understanding needed for a functional team.
. - How would you define honor?
.
An important feature of a person. Many think it is only for heroes, but anyone can show honor in their daily lives. It is simply being true to your beliefs while respecting others. To a point since there are those who believe in hurting others and then honor dictates that you defend those in need.
. - What’s the best way to hunt monsters?
.
Carefully and with trusted allies. It is also very important to gather as much information on a target as you can. This is not always possible, so I try to observe a creature before interacting with it. One may find that it is not so much a monster as a scared beast that needs only be calmed down.
. - What’s your first response when someone makes you really, really mad?
.
Not a wise thing to do to a barbarian. I give plenty of warnings to those that seek to anger me. Next comes threats and an attempt to intimidate. After that, I put them through the nearest tree or piece of furniture.
. - What’s it like working for Charles?
.
I do not recognize that name.
Legends of Windemere 
Great interview, Charles. I really love this idea, because it helps us to get a greater sense of who these characters are, and I really like Timoran. I’m really curious about the Ifrit mead…maybe that’s the same as saying I could use a drink! I could probably do without the dread boar, though you shouldn’t knock anything until you’ve tried it 😀

The Ifrit mead is a very potent drink that he seems to always have on him. Only Timoran and Nyx are able to handle it, but he still tends to outdo her. As for the dread boar, it’s nothing more than a giant, aggressive pig with metallic tusks. The meat probably tastes like a pork/beef combo.

The dread part of them is because they’re very dangerous. They kind of show up in ‘Family of the Tri-Rune’. Can’t say anything more than that. Actually, if you’ve seen ‘Princess Mononoke’ then you’ll have a general idea of them.

These aren’t really monsters though. Nothing like griffins, chimeras, and dragons anyway. Just giant boars that are very territorial. Though that probably says more about me than them.

There are a few pig-based critters running around. One is a Gooey Pig designed for a later story. Stems from a friend who created a creature for a role-playing game and she used a Celtic name or something. I called it a ‘gooey pig’ and it drove her nuts. So now I have one in a book. 🙂

She actually doesn’t know yet. Though it has led to the character she played in a game holding the record for being in the most series. Poor thing never catches a break.

Such a fun interview. Timoran is so balanced. Since he mentioned his fear of betraying his friends, I have a feeling he’ll probably do that at some point.
Love his meal choices. 🙂 Sounds like he has all the food groups represented.

You realize I can neither confirm, deny, or hint to what he does. Though there is something that happens involving his honor and friendships. Believe that’s Book 10.
I think a lot of the characters went for a balanced meal. Being adventurers, they eat a lot of trail rations so they went for a large feast.

He’s a fun guy. Very mild-mannered compared to the others. It does mean he’s just kind of there at times, but it also gives his actions more heft.
