I have to admit that this picture always creeps me out for some reason. Still, I definitely feel like this for some reason. Less blood (and hair), but I shouldn’t be allowed near volcanoes because I’d probably topple in from exhaustion.
Last night, I finished LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: TRIBE OF THE SNOW TIGER. It means I get to have pizza for lunch, which is my reward for finishing a first draft. Also for publishing a book if the two events aren’t close to each other. Not sure if that’s the case here since I still can’t 100% confirm an early April release for LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE: SLEEPER OF THE WILDWOOD FUGUE. All I know is that I get to choose a future project to toy with for a while.
The big challenge is going to be redoing the outline for Book 11. Things happened in Book 10 that nullified most of what I had planned. New villains have turned up, a big event is no longer viable, and one of the heroes needs a special gift. It’s entirely fixable as long as I take the time and concentration. The old one can give me a hint of a few things like locations, other characters, and progression. Still this is definitely the outline to take the biggest hit from changes occurring while writing.
Beyond that, I only have to say:

Woo hoo, congrats! As it happens, we, too, are having pizza today (instead of the traditional Greek March 25th lunch, which is fried cod with a garlic sauce).
And you can always count me in for support 🙂

Thanks. I’ll put you on the email list. Curious as to why March 25th is traditionally fried cod with garlic sauce.

It’s always in the middle of Lent or thereabouts, but the Greek Orthodox Church allows fish-eating on this date. As traditionally Lent meant severe fasting over here, it soon became a tradition that people ate fish. Cod is probably because salted cod was available in the winter and cheap, so that even the poor could afford it. As for the garlic… well, I have no idea. Vampires? 😀

Forgot about Lent. Being Jewish, it doesn’t come up that often. I’ve been told that it’s giving something up and fish on Friday. At least that’s what happens here.

That’s the Catholic way. You get to choose what you give up (for many it’s chocolate) and you eat fish. The Greek Orthodox puts all that to shame. No meat, eggs or dairy products for 40 days. In the last week, many don’t even use oil. Also, no alcohol whatsoever. Real hardcore stuff 🙂
There’s also two more similar periods; one in August and one just before Christmas. We really enjoy our suffering over here 🙂

We just have Passover, which is nothing ‘leavened’. Basically, if it rises when cooked then you can’t eat. No breads, rices, pastas, and plumping hot dogs. Sad thing is my birthday falls into the holiday period very often. So no cake. I don’t think beer is allowed either because of what’s in it. Is it just me or are many holidays about suffering?

I’m so sorry for you! 😀
Yes, I think the whole thing is rather masochistic at times… 🙂

Thanks. I’ll put you on the list. I think the cover reveal message got tied up with the TWUBS chat stuff last week, so people missed it.

Congrats on finishing your draft! I can do a cover reveal. I’m doing the April A to Z Challenge, so if it’s in April, I would fit it in with that post. Just let me know. Enjoy your pizza!

It doesn’t have to match the letters. I’ll just add it in to whatever day you choose.

You’re welcome. Actually, now that I think about it, I might do two separate posts on that day so each would have its own featured spot.

Very nice. What are you having on the pizza? I know you have me on the list, but in case something went astray I’m on the list.

Maybe on the chocolate. None in the house and I’m too lazy to go beyond the pizzeria. 😉

Congratulations! I promised my mother I’d send her a pizza when we got halfway through editing my book — I suppose that’s sort of similar to your strategy, except I don’t get the pizza, she does, lol.

Congratulations. I just eat pizza all the time. I probably need to change some of my habits. Take time to bask in your accomplishment.

I did that too. Then I figured it would be a good way to help me focus on writing and battle through the tough parts. Just keep thinking of the pizza.

Congrats, Charles!
I think, were I to implement such a reward service, as well as the product you have chosen, that I might start thinking I gave pizza up for good. It sometimes looks that way to me, and I can’t take that chance.
Anyway, I hope your next endeavor is as lucrative as others have been for you!

Thanks. I think I’m in the lucky position of having most of my series already outlined. The years of submitting queries and working ‘normal’ jobs saw a lot of planning to keep the imagination running.
