Not bad and I’m not sure I can get much higher. I took a look at the first list yesterday and it was Game of Thrones territory. I remember last year had them dominating the lists due to the holidays. One thing I’ve noticed with fantasy lists is that there’s always a bunch of science fiction in there too. I can get a few of them if magic or psionics are involved, but over the years I’ve seen some that aren’t even close. The two genres are typically put together, but it is strange seeing a futuristic romp through the galaxy battling with a magical adventure on a list that says ‘Sword & Sorcery’. Really shows you can fudge categories there, which makes me wonder what some of the minor science-fiction categories are. At least for one book that can span the gap with magical technology.
Anyway, I’m not doing well with balancing the online stuff, writing, and wrangling the child. I write as he comes into the room and goes for my exercise bike. I will have more people around the house to help, but outings will be occurring at times. I’m going to try my best to maintain contact, but I might be a ghost until 2015. So Happy Holidays if I don’t get a chance to say it again. Hope people enjoy the old posts this week.

Congratulations Charles 🙂

Thanks. Still hoping to get higher, but it’s a really big jump to the 20’s.

Even so… you’re up there 🙂

Yup. Those lists are a lot more competitive than last year too for some reason.

Then getting on them at all is a hell of an coup 🙂

But.. you manage it in face of all that competition.

Yup . . . if only I knew what caused it. 😉

Thanks. Still hoping to get higher, but I seem to be in an infinite loop for the last two days. Hit 34 or 35 and go back a few spaces.

Growing numbers are a good thing. Congrats.

That they are. Hit #33 and 3,001 just now . . . Is it strange that I’m laughing about missing 3,000 by 1? 😛

Thanks. Going to be interesting to see how I do once the ‘new release’ part is over. I should probably check those lists actually.

Congratulations Charles! It must be a brilliant feeling to keep your books in those lists the way you do.

Thanks. Though I wish I knew what did it, so I could improve.

Is it more than just because of sales? I’ve never seen my rankings rise because of reviews. Generally after a sale they zoom down at a rate of knots.

I think it’s sales and searches. I heard a few people mention reviews being a factor, but I never saw it.

So does that mean that just someone looking for your book helps? I guess nobody looks for mine then. 😀

I think it’s more that people click on it, but I don’t think it’s asbig a factor as sales. Also people who do better will have an effect too.
