This is a goal post being made in advance because I’m away. Many people might have noticed this for a few reasons. Less activity than normal both in blogging and in promotional Tweets/FB posts. That second one is probably driving me insane by now. I’m writing this before I write then ‘I’m outta here’ post on Friday before I leave, so I have no idea at this time if I snapped beforehand and pathetically begged for people to mention my books over the weekend.
This is the first time I’ve been away with possibly iffy wifi or at least the inability to access things. No blog commenting, sales checks, rankings checks, Tweets, FB posts, or any of the other activities that took up my days. I’ve been WordPressing without fail since December 1st 2012 and promoting nearly every day since March 1st 2013. This is like a total upheaval of my schedule and the version of me writing this post has no idea what current version is up to. I assume curled in a ball crying over his iPhone while the toddler pats him on the head and members of the wife’s family look on in horror. Maybe one of the dogs is involved. Not sure if the lack of sales checks or the lack of promoting is what’s driving me nuts. Then again, I might have found a way to check at least in the morning and night, so my current nervousness is unfounded.
Goals for the week!
- Get back to Long Island with sanity intact. Praying that toddler behaved on first airplane flight and will repeat the good behavior on way down.
- Read more of The Crimson League. Unless I finished it over the weekend.
- Outline more of War of the Tainted. Unless I finished it over the weekend.
- Seriously get back to biking every morning.
- Continue resting and recharging for start of 7th book after Super Bowl. Too many school meetings this month for me to focus.
- If sanity not intact: defeat Napoleon in chess and finally discover the secret to life, but only share it with the mouse who lives in my sock drawer.

I am hoping you had good luck and survived the cold turkey internet detox!

Barely. Had a few glimmers of wifi, but only enough to clear my email and make two promo tweets.

Still contemplating the bike for today. Playing catch up this morning. Sadly, it wasn’t a relaxing trip due to the reasons behind it.
