Eldorado National Forest California
Wildmen of the north
Forged by beast and blood
Thought to be berserkers
With no mind beyond the rage
Misunderstood warriors
Who think before the fury
And unleash their demon
Only when it’s right
These men and women
Dwell among the cold
Have honor more than most
And wisdom to be heard
So have a drink and sit
When a barbarian says hello
For treat him as a noble man
You earn a friend for life
About Charles Yallowitz
Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
They say the same about the Vikings! π
Good stuff there Charles π

Thanks. I think I added a Viking vibe to my barbarians. At least it slipped in there.

Again, I love this twist on barbarians!!! I also love a story set in a cold climate.

I like the contrast to all the forest adventures that I have already. My heroes kind of jump from the desert to the plains to the snowlands to a jungle over the course of the books.

I like the idea of barbarians having some sense and not being mindless morons.

Me too. We’ll leave that mentality for the Paladins.

They’re only poor because they spend all their money on armor polish.
