So, Legends of Windmere: Allure of the Gypsies might not be on Halloween, but it will be soon after. This means I need to think of things to do for promo week. I actually have a file with a week’s worth of Sari stuff like when I did Women of Windemere. This begs the question: what else can I do?

The mystery around Sari is typically what will she do. This will be the third book of my series, so she joins as a more unpredictable and fun-loving character. I think one of the big things about her is that she is put through hell from the beginning, but she retains the part of herself that strives to make people feel loved. If that makes any sense because she’s rather complicated.

I need to figure how to do two book debuts in a week or two. If anything the blog blitz that I want to get volunteers for is gong to be a mess.

Thanks. Though, it brings up a challenge. I can’t do a blog blitz for Catalysts and Allure at the same time. So, I might let Catalysts be a minimal marketing thing for Halloween. Gather forces for Allure instead.

I think that’s wise – Catalysts can help you build momentum for Allure too. Your name will be out there so much, some people will want to check you out just to see what’s going on.

Good point. So, I’ll just do a blog post and tweets on Halloween for it. I’ll call for blog blitzers on Allure of the Gypsies. I’m nervous about that one too because I’m going to attempt a 2.99 pricing.

That’s a price point I am more than willing to pay, and I don’t even have a kindle (god help my bank balance when that happens). I’m not keyed into the metrics at all, but I do think that’s a more than reasonable price.

The others will stay at 99 cents for a while, so that should help too. It feels like a really big step though.

I bet it does – it’s a bit of a leap of faith, since there is no hard and fast rule. Of course, it just reinforces what all of us know already – that your books are more than worth it.

Fingers crossed. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens if the third book debuts and the first two are still near the Top 100 lists. I wonder how easy it is for a 2.99 book to get there.
