I’ve been kind of lost on WordPress lately. The constant switches between rain and heat aren’t helping. I think part of it is because I’m not posting book sections. I’ll start Legends of Windemere: Allure of the Gypsies up when Prodigy of Rainbow Tower debuts.
This leaves me with nothing scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. Been having trouble keeping on a schedule anyway, but things should settle . . . in September.
Anyway, any suggestions on what I could post about here? What do you want to see here or see more of?

How about a limerick.

I can do one of those. I’ll leave Nantucket out of it.

How about a “writing tips” post some time? Those are always good to read.

I usually put something on Wednesdays under the ‘Thought’ category that deals with various parts of writing. Those are always fun. Are you wondering about anything specific for writing?
Maybe I can do a humorous list of writing tips for tomorrow.

Ah, alright. I’ll be sure to take a look at your earlier posts, in that case.
That said, I’d certainly love to read a humorous take on the topic.

I’ll work on one for either tomorrow or Wednesday.

IT’S Summer Vacation – I vote for you to take Monday’s and Fridays off –
But then, I’m a hedonist…

I considered it, but summers are terrible for indie author sales. Feel I should push more on those two days. Especially Friday.

how about the exact steps you took to write, edit, format, design cover, photos/drawings,submit, publish, promote your book

I’ve been rather haphazard with that, but I can try to come up with something.

You could do all kinds of things: make up some crazy interview questions and interview people. You could have one day a week where you let your followers into the nonwriting aspects of your life, some kind of personal reflection on the last week. That could be useful in a personal way, and fans, too, always like to get to know authors on a personal level.

I like the personal reflection and nonwriting idea. Maybe funny stories or something like that.
I’m working with someone on a crazy interview skit that should go up some time this week.

Well, it is summer. Though, I think people would appreciate keeping their eyesight.

So . . . more poems?

Yes yes! 🙂

Your poems seem to go down well and you can whack them out in a short space of time, so I’d definitely use them as filler material when you need it!
I empathise with feeling lost with the blog though. My writing blog has barely mentioned writing in a long time. That might be changing soon, though. I think it’s best not to fret about it and a missed day won’t kill you! It’ll always pick itself back up. 🙂

A missed day? I feel light-headed all of a sudden. World . . . spinning.

Hair would be easier. Storm coming and it doesn’t look pretty.

You could try for something lighthearted – as others have suggested – maybe bookend the weekend with posts from your characters (and if you already do this, I apologize), not just their motivations, but their perspective on something, perhaps?

Good idea. Thanks.

I wish I had an answer to that one, Charles. You’ve received some good ones 🙂 I find that, once I put the pressure on myself, all the fun is sucked out of a thing…if that makes any sense.

As others have said, I always enjoy your advice posts. You’ve tried lots of things on this journey and for those of us starting out, people like yourself who are able to offer thoughts, advice and guidance are invaluable. Oh, and keep the humour in – I love your sense of humour but am crossing my fingers that you don’t go with Misha’s suggestion (no offence!). 🙂

None taken. Though, he didn’t say the pics had to be of me. Still, some kids read this.

You could have a re-blog day, where you reblog posts of certain themes, like book release reblogs…something along those lines, and then you could have a “My Bookshelf Day” where you could let us all know what books your reading! I was thinking of doing something like that once a week since I read and review for other authors, plus I think it’s interesting to see what books writers like to read! 🙂

Interesting. I usually reblog as I find stuff. What if there’s nothing to reblog on that day?

You could look all week and save the links to things you want to reblog.

Or you could have like a “Graphics Only Day”, where you share those pics with inspirational, motivational sayings and quotes.

I could do that. I do an inspirational video every now and then.

Yup, that would be good, all writers need some inspirational pick ups now and the, especially when we are sitting in a pile of crumpled up papers that was the draft of something really good that has now become shred box material…..~Totally there this morning~
