I misread something with the AskDavid.com thing. They gave me a free trial on the tweets to tempt me into buying their 30 tweets for $10 package. I have to admit that after getting more sales today than I did in the last couple of days, I’m very tempted. I look at it this way:
30 special tweets could last me a month. I’d post one a day, except on Sunday.
That would get my money’s worth on this, but I really think I’m going to wait until my sequel comes out. The tweets would be first book focused to help with that. I’m still waiting to hear if the tweet packages only go for one book or if it can be used for other books. Yet, this is definitely something that should only be first book specific.

No wait, what’s that? Hiring someone to tweet for you? I didn’t know that!

I finally got some extra info this morning. They occasionally send out an e-mail to an author for a free tweet on their system. They have over 3,050 authors, so letting all of them run wild would be a disaster. If an author wishes to tweet more, they buy 30 tweet links for $10. You can feasibly get 2 tweets out of this too since it goes on their site and you can return later to retweet it on your own twitter account. This also helps authors that have no twitter account and want to use the site without signing up.
