Achieved and Extra!

All goals that I posted on Sunday have been achieved.  So,

  1. 2 chapters of The Compass Key are done.
  2. Wattpad entry fixed and proving to still be useless.
  3. Read more of ‘Shadows Over Sheradan’.
  4. Cold is gone.
  5. Exercised most of the week.  Missed today because of chaos.
  6. Wrote the Nimby Fairy Tale for a friend.
  7. Finished ‘Tales of the Slumberlord’ write-ups.
  8. Went to the neurologist and I’m going to leave that crap at that.
  9. Wrote a scene with Clyde to moderate success.  (Bonus!)
  10. Prepared most of ‘Bestiary of Blatherhorn Vale’ for publishing (Bonus!)

It will be interesting to see what next week brings.  I’m going to have only 4 days to do things, but maybe I can get a little book writing in on Monday.  The next couple of weeks are going to be chaotic, so my progress might take a header until the end of June.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Okay, I want to know how you “achieved” goal #4. It seems like all I’ve done this year is achieve that one – then come down with a cold again. Or maybe you’re talking about the cold spring, then global warming is all YOUR fault! Anyway, well done.

    • Tea with honey and rest. Though, thanks to an abrupt, psychotic weather change, my cold is back. Honestly, how can the weather channel not warn me about it dropping from the 80’s to the 40’s overnight? You’d think they’d catch that.

The more technology we get the better off we are looking out the window and saying, “I think it’s going to rain.” When we have tornado warnings (Midwest) when a radar says there’s a CHANCE of a tornado we may be over-analyzing things.

Is Wattpad really worth the effort do you think? It seems you complain about it more than anything. Congratulations on achieving your goals! I have one for you for today…
You spelled Achieved wrong in the title of this post… you might want to fix that. 😀

    • Yesterday was not a great day for me and spelling. I’ll fix that. As for Wattpad, there’s really no effort involved beyond posting a book excerpt. My plan was to use it and report how effective it was for other authors that were thinking about using it. Now, I’ve seen some very successful books on Wattpad, but not mine. I don’t know the trick to it and I don’t think I’m going to bother paying any attention to it. Not unless I get a big email saying something happened with my listing.

    • Fixed it, but my computer put one of those red ‘spelled wrong’ lines under it. I think my computer’s spellchecker is messed up. It’s been trying to de-capitalize my name for the last two days.

Very impressive! I’m wondering if setting goals is the way to go? At least that way I’ll know for certain if I’ve been a success or a failure..!

    • I will warn you that it takes a few attempts and some foresight to set weekly goals. I got annoyed when I started because I never made them. This reminds me that I have to write my weekly goals post tonight. Now that my new book is out and I did all the initial marketing, I don’t have to skip it. 😀
