That’s the order of the day. I’ve got a lot on my plate for today, so that I can take an easy Thursday to psych myself up for the convention. Here’s the laundry list:
- Make Table of Contents for Beginning of a Hero and Prodigy of Rainbow Tower. Re-upload Beginning of a Hero. For instructions on how to do this, look at the previous reblog.
- Write and schedule 6 posts (2 for each day I’ll be away) about this weekend’s free download sale for Beginning of a Hero.
- Write and schedule the 3 poems for the days I’ll be away.
- Continue the outline for Merchant of Nevra Coil.
- Make sure everything is ready for convention.
I can feasibly get the first one done before I do my biking and I can get the second and third one done before lunch. They won’t be long posts. Just reminders, a pic of my cover art, and a link to the Amazon page. Anyway, time to get to work over here.
(I think I might ignore my reader for most of the day. I apologize for missing anything of importance and I will try to play catch up with blogs tonight. This all depends on how long it takes to reach these goals.)

you make me feel incredibly lazy. lol!

Normally, I’d be less busy, but trying to set up a free sale weekend and prep for the convention this weekend is more work than I expected.

Reading that makes me tired. 🙂 The glamorous life of an Author, or rather a look behind the curtain. Good luck at your convention Charles!

Thanks. The Table of Contents was actually easier than I expected. Got my first three books set up within thirty minutes. Once I got the method down, it was a cinch.

I wish you many sales. May the force be with you, friend.

Thanks. I’m really hoping it works out well and I come home to a lot of free downloads. Then, it will hopefully keep going when I raise the price to .99 cents.

Wow, if I only got half that done on any given day, I’d be so happy! Good job Charles! I hope you have fun at the convention!

It’d be easier if I wanted to leave some of it for tomorrow, but I want it out of the way. This way I can focus on figuring out how to do the free pricing.

Oh, I see. Well, I hope you can get everything done on time!

I’m glad someone else makes lists! I’m a list junkie…but I tend to lose the lists! Until I started putting them in my “Notes” app on my phone. Hope you have a productive day today Charles! I’m really excited about this weekend for you!! “Buy Legends of Windemere…Buy Legends of Windemere…” That’s me casting a spell on the crowd at the convention! lol You are going to do awesome, Charles!!

I rarely make physical lists. Usually when I have a lot of complicated stuff to do, but most times it’s in my head. My wife uses a lot of lists, but she’s ADD and OCD, so she needs them. Also, me to remind her about the lists. It’s cute the first couple of times. Then I have to come at her with duct tape, which doesn’t always go in my favor. 😉
Thanks for the spell. Funny thing is that I’m seeing the sales increase since I signed on with KDP Select last night. I’m still doing the free download weekend, but I’m already seeing improvement. Maybe I’ll go KDP Select for my sequel right out of the gate to get the boost of advertising power.

That is so great, Charles!!! I’m enjoying taking this journey of self-publishing with you! Maybe one day when I get brave I might even publish something… don’t know if that day will come though! I’m kind of shy in real life…hard to imagine, huh? lol

You’ll be fine. I’m shy too, which is why this convention is scarier than it should be. Most of my stuff is done through the internet, so it takes the edge off.

Shy, loners and quiet types. Yes, I am one too. We have an awful lot to share and say though.

The quiet ones are always thinking. Mostly day-dreaming, but that counts.
