I debated mentioning this, but I thought I should:
2,500 eBooks sold.
More if you count the 52 UK, 13 Germany, 1 France, and 4 Canada sales. Also, 8 paperbacks.
Another milestone here is that the bookmarks are done and that leaves only the last of the table displays to finish. We’re not sure what to do here because it was originally going to have the cover art for Prodigy of Rainbow Tower. We only have those initial sketches that I posted before, so we’re deciding on what to do. The background of the display is already painted to look like charred ground. Going to have to finish it this weekend.
So, the sales are up and the convention is going to be here in just over a week.

Congratulations Charles! 🙂

You do so much! Where is the convention?

Thanks. The convention is in Oswego, NY where I went to college. The town is in upstate NY right on Lake Ontario. Just a small table-top game and anime convention in familiar territory. I can reconnect with a few friends that will want to help spread a few things around.

Me too. I think I remember the general route to get there, which is surprising. Last time I was up there was 2005.

2,500 copies in almost 2 months? That’s pretty fantastic Charles!
What do you think has contributed to most of those sales? The fact that your book is in the Fantasy Top 100 lists (which is a a free ad that pays for itself) or have you used some advertising to get there? Or is it mostly just your brilliant blogging?
It’s always great seeing self-published authors have great success! 🙂

I’m thinking that it’s the lists that are pushing me along. Though, all the advertising sites that I used at the beginning are what got me onto those lists. The blogging and social media usage are also helping a lot.
At least that’s my guess. I don’t really know exactly what I did right.
