I have returned from Connecticut with stories of tragedy and victory. First, I’m surprised there’s still snow on the ground up there. That’s just a small thing before I get into the meat that includes a lot of links:
New Suit Riot
I woke up at 5am as announced and grabbed my newest suit. This is the one where I felt like a fantasy dwarf when they were sizing me. Well, comedy did ensue because I put on the pants, strapped the belt to the lowest hole, and took a step to grab the jacket. This promptly resulted in the pants falling to my ankles and me nearly taking a header into the wall. Upside, I’ve lost more weight than I realized. Downside, it is NOT fun hunting for an old suit at 5:30 in the morning and praying that you’re not in that horrific ‘between sizes’ range.
Toddler Chaos
Yeah. He just didn’t like the car ride. I’m just going to leave it at that and let your imaginations run wild. I will mention that at the end of the Bar Mitzvah, he got on the dais and nearly rolled into a Rabbi. Then he nearly ran into another synagogue bigwig. Daddy’s little imp at his best.
Poetry Plans
As you may know, I’m participating in the ‘Poem a Day For April’ contest run by The Ranting Papizilla and The Arkside of Thought. Thankfully, today’s scheduled post worked and I know that the next trick is going to work too. I have it scheduled to post a set of 3 poems in honor of ‘Legend of Zelda’. They’re an experiment in writing a poem that makes a picture. There will be a break on Tuesday for my birthday poem, but the final Triforce poem will be on Wednesday.
I thought I mentioned this, but I’m not sure and I’m too lazy to check my old posts. I joined the Rome Construction Crew, which is a supportive group run by Green Embers. It is a group of bloggers that support each other as they strive for their individual goals. I think this is very important because encouragement is the foundation of support when striving for something difficult whether it be publishing a book, losing weight, or trying to beat the hardest difficulty level of Minesweeper. This is a big shout-out to Green Embers and everyone else in the crew!
Editing Progress and then . . .?
It looks like I’ll finish editing Legends of Windemere: Family of the Tri-Rune by the end of the week. That leaves my wife/editor/groupie/taskmaster/blanket stealer to read through it while pretending she doesn’t love me. The difficulty of that task changes every day. This means that I’ll be getting to the week where I step away from Legends of Windemere and rest before talking book 5. I’ll still be blogging, but I’m not sure what else to do. Part of me wants to play Metroid Prime, but I can’t beat that in a week and I’d have to stop once the toddler comes home. I also wanted to finish outlining Darwin’s series. It’s a tough call because I’ve been going full-tilt on Legends of Windemere since last July. It’s also hard to play a video game and keep up with my reader.
Reader Ruin
I tried to catch up on my reader, but I’m exhausted and will probably have to see where I stand tomorrow morning. I apologize if I missed an epic post.
2000
Legends of Windemere: Beginning of a Hero has sold 2,000 copies as of this writing. The first thing I want to do is say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me, reviewed me, and helped me in every way possible. So:

Awesome stuff! Yeah… I’m just going to put up a sticky post saying Out Playing Video games next week so I can play some BioShock. I am very much looking forward to it! 😀 (I’ll still be here blogging but my reader will be neglected).
Congrats on 2K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Thanks. 🙂
Ignoring the reader is what has me iffy. I keep feeling like I’m being rude if people comment on my stuff and I don’t comment on them. I have to stay somewhat active to keep book promotions up.
I’m looking at Metroid Prime because of my history with it. Bought it once and got glitched to death. Returned it. Bought it again the next year and hit a boss I couldn’t beat, so I got mad and sold it again. Bought it for $5 and gave the game a massive beatdown. Maybe I can do the game in the morning and switch to outlining in the afternoon when the toddler is home.
