Back in the Saddle (Violent Video)

I probably picked the video because I saw a trailer for ‘Red 2’ and I loved the first one.  Love the look of the second because it looks like Helen Mirren gets more actions scenes than in the first one.  Anyway, this is besides the point . . . or was it the point?  Wait.  The song was why I went for the scene.

I’m determined to get back in the editing saddle tomorrow and play a delicate dance of balance.  My goal was to edit one chapter  per weekday, which didn’t happen after Wednesday because of stuff.  So, I need to step it up and get my head back in the game.  I’ve done a ton of advertising, but the truth is that the best thing I can do for the first book is to get the next book out and continue writing.  I think I have a handle on the pricing until I have another ‘I’m not a math person’ freakout moment again.  Honestly, I’m having so much fun that I can’t seem to lock my brain into ‘make money’ mode.  I think I wandering off again.

Yes!  Head back in the game!  The challenge I face is that I’m reading The Dragon’s Disciples by C.N. Faust and I’m editing my book.  I’m really into the book, but I also have to edit.  So, my plan is simple, elegant, and probably something Luke Callindor would come up with and get smacked by Nyx for.  I will do both and maintain my website.  I set hourly goals such as edit 4 pages and then read 10 pages.  Once I edit a chapter, I go straight into reading mode.  I think it’s doable.  At least it’s easier than fighting Carl Urban or Bruce Willis.

So . . . I really can’t wait until August to see Helen Mirren be an action star again.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

It might boil down to me having more time on my hands and a touch of insomnia. Truthfully, this book is being edited quicker than the others for some reason. I might have actually gained some level of skill within the last six months . . . nah. 🙂
