102 Years

Happy 102nd Birthday

No, I did not stutter

This woman earned her cake

And ice cream on the side

She riveted away through a war world

While teaching through the second

Traveled with her soulmate

To every corner of our world

Her stories have been etched

Into my younger mind

Though they changed as she grew old

Now she only has an inkling

Of the world she used to roam

Still, she glimmers with life

And the strength to hold her throne

So Happy Birthday, Grandma

May you see 103

(Made on the fly and this will be why I won’t be on-line tomorrow.  Super Bowl too, but that’s a distant second.)

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.
