Spam Comment Folder

I just looked into this thing and I have no idea what to make of some of them.  A few look like legitimate comments, but I’m always cautious of anything that falls into a spam folder and I don’t recognize the name.

Does anybody have any experience or advice about this folder?  It’s growing pretty big.

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Delete all obvious spam.. if in doubt about the value of the comment.. some are very plausible… check the name of the site they came from. If it is brand names or something that looks like it is selling you SEO or similar, delete that too. Almost all spam in the folder will be just that… but a few genuine ones do end up there. Once you are rid of the majority try clicking the name link any that really do seem genuine. You’ll be able to tell if it is a blogger or a spammer straight away. But I’m just speaking from trial and error here 🙂
