Happy National Ice Cream Day

Perfect time of year for this holiday.  At least for this part of the world where we have summer.  So:

  1. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?  (Gold Medal Ribbon from Baskin Robbins)
  2. What’s your least favorite?  (Mint chocolate chip)
  3. What’s the weirdest flavor you have tried?  (Buttered popcorn flavor . . . Ew.)

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

  1. I kind of like them all, but I’m with you on mint. The weirdest one was fig and balsamic vinegar. It was actually incredible. I’ve made my own before and added barbecued peaches from my own tree.

  2. My favorite is still pistachio. Least favorite is rum raisin. Most unusual was Mexican hot chocolate. (It was cold but that was the name)

My favourite flavour is coffee, but you rarely find it in the UK.

My least favourite is probably cookie dough.

In Spain one year I had Olive Oil ice cream. Surprisingly palatable.

Last week, on holiday with the family, we were discussing if anyone had eaten savoury ice cream. The consensus was that we didn’t like the idea.

I’m lucky to live in New England close to farms that make and sell their own ice cream. OMG is what every visitor says. Jamoca Almond Fudge is my favorite. Moose tracks is popular.
