Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. Very compelling! What’s your process for writing poetry? Do you think of the book synopsis first and then write a poem describing it?

My process is fairly simply:
1. Think of topic/book.
2. Start typing and see what happens.
I’m strange. Total plotter with prose, but total pantser with poetry.
