Writing it My Way

Frank Sinatra

I stand at a crossroads
Unsure of the true path
Having thousands
Laying at my feet
Yet none of them
Feel right
*
I see many in the distance
Waving and calling
Saying their path is best
Created on their own
So they know it well
And crow its glory
*
I see a little
From other roads
A turn here
A brick there
Not enough to go
And claim the entire path
*
Gathering myself
I take my first real step
Unclaimed dirt meets my feet
Denied paths fade
And I will carry on
Writing my own way

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Very creative follow-up to your post on the rules others enforce on authors.
