So here’s what I’m looking at as of 11:40 AM on Saturday 4/18/15:
- Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #5,589 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)
- #34 in Books > Literature & Fiction > Action & Adventure > Romance
- #39 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Action & Adventure > Romance
- #61 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Action & Adventure > Fantasy
Looking good and getting closer to the fantasy lists that start kicking in around the 4,500 overalls. I think I’m on a bunch of Top 100 New Release lists too, but I’m too busy to go hunting them down right now.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported me by buying the book, reviewing the book, spreading the word about the book, and/or simply dealing with me while I go through the ups and downs for the 7th time. I couldn’t have gotten this far without my fellow authors/bloggers/friends and this is starting to sound like an acceptance speech, so I’ll stop. Just felt like saying thanks. Enjoy your weekend, everyone.
Addition: Probably should post the link to the Amazon site. Oops.

Once again, Congratulations are in order! Way to go, Charles!

Thanks. I hope so too. At least to the Sword & Sorcery list where I feel at home. 😀

Outstanding! I always find this kind of post interesting. I think this is one area where having a series really helps.

Yes and no. It does boost the other books in the series, but I’ve found that later books don’t have the same impact as their predecessors. Reality is that readers drop out after every book, so the key is to keep getting sales across the board. You need fresh readers to replace those that leave. At least with one this long.

Interesting, as always. In my world, the stories don’t relate. I can’t drive subsequent sales that way. Maybe after I get 20 titles or so.

One of my goals is building a massive world that will outlast me. Not sure if that’s cool or narcissistic.

I think it’s cool. Putting that as a goal will make it better too.

It’ll be interesting to see how it goes after the series is over. Then I simply have to make sure things remain connected. Might have to sit down this week and write up the series list again. Feel like I have to do that every 3-4 months.

Still, if you enjoy it, it’s no problem.

Looks good. We all love to watch you during the launches and see the sales ranks. No thanks necessary.

Good to hear. Thought I was being a little neurotic for some people. Been trying to keep it low key this time around.

Oh! I just saw the cover – on Ionia’s post. I love that cover! Still visiting and reading your blog for this week – but I forgot that tomorrow is the day you put up your weekly goals. I’ll be back then, too.

Looking forward to it. I switched to Saturday goal posts for a while, but I think I’ll change it back to Sunday. Didn’t get much on Saturdays.

Thanks. I’m not sure what to think about it being the romance lists that I’m hanging around. I guess it’s because I know if it wasn’t there, the book wouldn’t be on any lists. So I’m fearing for the next one that won’t have the romance keyword.
