Queen Trinity of the Chaos Elves won the overall poll and her best friend Yola Biggs the Chaos Goddess got a vote. So I figured it would be fun to talk to the two villainesses of LEGENDS OF WINDEMERE. They do make an interesting pair and Yola is slated to take a bigger role in the next book.
Now, Trinity is a powerful caster, Nyx’s rival, and she isn’t as bad as people think. She protects her people by sharing in their punishments and taking blame for any mistakes that they make, which is why she’s loved by the chaos elves. One would expect Baron Kernaghan to have killed her by now. In reality, she’s kind of protected by Yola, who is an exile from the land of the gods and has felt alone centuries. Then Trinity came around and things changed. Though nobody is sure who is charge of the relationship. At times, the ditzy goddess comes off as a child or a pet while Trinity occasionally takes on a more docile role. It really depends on their moods and what they’re doing. Yet there is a bizarre connection between the two that gets explored for a few books coming up.
So, dive in to ask any questions you can think of.

Queen Trinity and Yola, what qualities do you look for in a friend? Why?

Yola- Goes great with chicken and comes by the bottle.
Trinity- That’s wine, Yola. Maybe you should just say a high threshold for insanity and pain.
Yola- Why would I want my wine to be crazy and in agony?
Trinity- I’m not really sure that I’m the best one to answer the question. I have allies and my closest friend is this lunatic. Coming in second is Nyx who I keep trying to kill and that’s pretty sad.
Yola- You’re my closest friend too! At least right now. Some days I’m standing next to Nyder, which makes him my closest friend.
Trinity- You have to be doing this on purpose.

My question is to Queen Trinity – Tell us about your relationship with Yola. How would you classify it?

Trinity- It depends on the day. Friends, mother/daughter, master/pet, and very tolerable sibling/annoying little sister. I believe she’s aged me.
Yola- That was one time and I changed your diapers until I fixed it. At least you could still talk and cast magic during that time.
Trinity- I was trying to forget about that one.

Now you’ve done it! I’m curious about that story, Yola. Tell me more – don’t worry Trinity, you’re among friends. No need to be embarrassed 🙂

Yola- It was her birthday and she said she was starting to feel old. So I fixed it and then she got mad. Then Nyder and the Lich laughed. The Baron groaned and I had to figure out how to bring her back. Took a week because it was fun seeing her try to rule her people as a baby.
Trinity- I really can’t see a reason to NOT be embarrassed here.

I can sympathise, Trinity. But it all worked out in the end. Why not get your own back. Do you have anything juicy to tell?

Trinity- The woman has no shame. She’s also one of the older goddesses of our world, so I’d rather stay on her good side.
Yola- That’s my left. There is that story where I-
Trinity- DON’T! That’s the next book in the series. We don’t talk about that.
Yola- Oh yeah. Oops. Forget I said anything about-
Trinity- Stop it, you unhinged woman-child!

Thanks for answering my questions, or those that you could… I understand the need for secrets 🙂 I’ve enjoyed spending time with you.

Yola- You’re welcome. What secrets? Did Trinity blab something?
Trinity- I need friends with better attention spans.

Queen Trinity, what, if anything, do you respect about Nyx?
LikeLike
Trinity- She’s a powerful caster and keeps me on my toes. I can’t really say I hate her as much as I used to. There’s a slight understanding and respect that’s grown between us. Still, I’d take her head if I had no other choice.
Yola- What would you do with her head?
Trinity- It means killing her.
Yola- I’d turn it into a vase and put flowers in it. Black and pink ones.
