Now I’m attempting to get this connected to a question I asked on my Facebook Author page. I would repeat it here, but I’d much rather get it on that medium where more people can interact with each other. It’s in regards to the following:
Basically, discuss a childhood show or really anything that you would like to see make a comeback. Again, I kind of want this to happen on my Facebook page. So click on link that says ‘Post’, which is what happened when I embedded the thing. I don’t really know what I’m doing here.
Post by Charles E Yallowitz.
(Small request: Please don’t rant and rave about the horrors of reboots. Let’s be positive and work off the hope that this will be good . . . and lead to the return of Darkwing Duck.)
I don’t use Facebook, so I’m telling you here anyway. Pinky and the Brain were the best and I would love to see a reboot.

That was a fun one. Looking back, I’m surprised they managed to pull it off considering it started as clip of another show. Think the humor would do well in today’s world?

It works for me. The whole Animaniacs concept was based upon rebooting the Warner Brothers cartoons of old. The Roadrunner took off, so did P & B.

You mean the old Looney Tunes? I don’t remember Yakko, Wakko, and Dot from the old stuff. Also saw them as the Marx Brothers too.
(I still remember Dot’s full name too. Just bad at spelling it.)

No. It was a team up between Spielberg and Warner Brothers to create something similar, but new. They had their own recurring characters. Bernadette Peters was even the voice of one. Pinky & the Brain were the best though.

Part of me wants to say she was Slappy Squirrel for some reason.

She was a cat who hung out with a dog, and sang all the time.

Went there and answered the question. You have to remember when I was a kid TV was just invented. The only show nationally was Howdy Doody.

That would be an interesting one to bring back.

so you are having trouble too?

Yeah. I send a comment and it just does that circle/sending thing. It goes through, but it locks up the notification thing as if it didn’t go through. So I have to refresh the page every time.

I asked WP what to do and am still waiting for a response. Have you cleared your browser cache?

I’ve seen pictures of that show, but it was only on Nickelodeon in the USA. My family didn’t get cable until I was in college, so I never got to see it.

I saw it in the Middle East (UAE) 😀

Impressive. Was it subtitled or dubbed?

Two shows for me: Hogan’s Heroes and Gilligan’s Island. I’d love to see the original characters in glorious HD with surround sound. Alas, most if not all the original actors are dead and it isn’t 1964 again–although it would’ve been cool had the shows gone through HD filming. But now I digress. Oh, maybe even Happy Days and Lavern and Shirley. Add Mork and Mindy to the mix as well. Gosh, now I’m dating myself thinking about all these awesome shows.

Those would be interesting. Though I think Mork & Mindy might be too soon. It seems harder to reboot live action stuff.
