The child chose the video yesterday. Well, he chose this ‘One Direction’ song he heard in school, but I refused and then this came on the radio. He tried to dance and I’m taking that as go ahead.
It’s been a roller coaster year and I believe it’s ending on a good note. It’s still morning and family is visiting before they head out for various parties. We’re just putting the child to bed and watching ’47 Ronin’ . . . or Supernatural Season 6 depending on our reaction to the movie. I should say we’re doing this with the remote in hand because somebody has developed a habit of waking up within the first hour of bed time, rushing into the room, and making strange declarations. Last night he was upset that his tissue pack was empty on one side.
Beyond all that, I’m steeling myself for an odd event in my writing. This might seem minor to most and it’s really only a scene that I’ll probably write tomorrow. I’m working on Book 9, which has a lot of meat to it and gives focus to a character who never got a proper ‘big intro’. During this adventure, I lay the ground work for the next series I plan on writing, ‘The Dawn Fangs’ . . . or ‘War of the Fangs’ . . . Honestly, it’s still ‘Realm of the Night’ on paper. Anyway, I delve into the society and a bit of the history of the Dawn Fangs here. Their progenitor, Clyde, is mentioned and their powers are explained. The biggest part is that I introduce a character who will act as the series bridge. I’ve only written one test scene with Mab and I’m not really sure where to go with her. Back in the day, she was played in the Vampire RPG by the wife who also played Nyx, which made them personality twins. I’m worried that it’ll happen here and that’s probably why I won’t touch it until tomorrow when there will be more people to watch the child. Overall, I’m looking forward to writing the intro and I think I’m going with a ‘go f yourself if I have no use for you’ persona.
Anyway, that’s just what was on my mind and we all know short posts aren’t in my repertoire.

Happy New Year Charles! 🙂

Thanks. Hope you have one too . . . unless you already did. Being more aware of time zones can make things confusing.

It’s still nine hours to go to midnight here – at which point I’ll most definitely be snoozing. 😀

Think I have 16.5 to go. Child is still asleep, so not sure if I’ll make it.

Trying is the thing. I haven’t managed to stay awake for years now, although I do tend to be at my computer from 4am every day.

I usually make it since I always have trouble falling asleep. Probably been clocking in only 4-6 hours of sleep a night at most for the last couple years.

Doesn’t that make you tired all the time?

Yes. At least I wear down quicker, but I keep going. Honestly, I feel worse if I get more than 8 hours of sleep.

I don’t think I knew the name until the 4th time I heard it on the radio. They really don’t like mentioning song names these days.
