First of all, you can see from the ‘Before/After’ pictures that I got my haircut. I was also told by my barber that I really have to stop waiting so long. In my defense, it was cold outside and I’m an idiot.
Second of all, I’m heading out for a weekend trip in a few hours. This isn’t really a vacation since there are some somber reasons for going. Not going into details. This will be a hectic trip though. Toddler’s first time on an airplane, first time through airport security, first time seeing some of the long-distance family, first time in a big bed, and maybe a few more firsts there. My focus will be on him a lot this trip, but there’s another wrinkle in here:
The motel does not have free wifi!
So, I’m not going to be around that much. At least wait until I leave before starting the party!
I’ll be using any free wifi catches that I get to handle email and respond to comments on my blog. All of my posts have been scheduled, including the weekly goal post, which I wrote a few days ago in a different mindset. Ever since the WordPress App on my iPhone decided to epically fail, I can’t do much here without my laptop and lack of wifi hurts that. Getting to my own blog comment notification takes several screams and a twitchy interface. So, I won’t be liking or commenting while I’m gone, which I apologize for. As it stands, I will have to find a way to get on here come Saturday to reblog a guest post on the blog of Shannon A. Thompson. It’ll be about fantasy transportation and that’s going to be the extent of my non-comment posting. Maybe the motel has a computer in the lobby that I can use. Got lucky with that in June.
The other thing that is going to be a test of my patience and sanity is that I won’t be able to do any marketing. NO TWEETS! NO RETWEETS! NO FACEBOOK POSTS! I don’t even know if I can check my numbers and ranks while I’m away. For anyone that knows more or has seen Ionia tease me about my addiction to my book numbers, you know that this might be the equivalent of quitting cold turkey. I might be able to slip a few sales checks in to help explain my success to family members, but I definitely won’t be able to do promo work. I know there’s Hootsuite, but it doesn’t cover all my FB groups and seems to be giving me the cold shoulder with Tweets. No idea why I don’t have the time to figure it out.
Sooooooooooo . . . If anybody wants to make a blog post, tweet, or FB post about one of the Legends of Windemere books over the weekend, I’d greatly appreciate the help. I think that covers my panicky shill quota of the post.
Hope everyone has a fun and relaxing weekend. If anybody really needs to get in contact with me then shoot me an email. Yup . . . I’ll just leave some music videos and I’m out of here a few hours:

I can come up with a few tweets and a FB post, at least, Charles. Good luck (and nice hair cut).

Thanks. I appreciate the help. Feel weird with the idea of being away.

Tweets are us and post too. Wish you well on the trip. The library and Starbucks can accommodate WiFi (of course you must look like you belong) As to the haircut. I’m surprised the barber didn’t charge you by the pound.

Thanks. We won’t have a car, so I can only walk to those places. Sadly supposed to snow all weekend.

Thanks. If I come back babbling like an idiot then people will know things didn’t go well. 🙂

Facebook posts are easy enough. I don’t twitter and tweet. Haircut looks great BTW! Hoping all the firsts turn out better than expected. Sometimes kids are surprisingly adaptable, awestruck by everything new

Thanks. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I get a few glimmers of wifi to avoid a mess when I get home.

Upstate New York to visit family. Been up in the air about how it was going and timing, so there’s still a scramble.

Got some iffy wifi for a bit. Might try to push out a Tweet before I lose it. Saw that I sold nothing overnight, so I’m going to have to dip into the data plan.

Nice hair cut dude. Good thing that you visited the right barber. Otherwise the wrong one would spin that chair so fast while you’re sitting on it, and grab the scissors and start cutting your hair like Edward Scissorhands.

That’s happened before. Not the spinning, but going to anybody and getting my head shaved to the scalp. Mortifying for a teenager.

I think it would be weird if you came out of the barber shop sporting a beard or a moustache. behold the power of the stache.
I never been to barbershops before. Unless I have a misfortune to sit in one where a barber decided to be aggressive in the combing and snipping my hair, to the point of near violence.

I tried the goatee once and it was atrocious. Apparently my facial hair is a disturbing combination of blonde, brown, black, and red. My friend said to stick with clean-shaven and lazy man stubble.
