Thanks to Susan Nicholls, I’m trying a new advertising site for my third book. The site sent me that blurb at the top and it’s a very interesting venue called That Part Where.
On this site, you provide the cover art and a 1,500 word excerpt of your story. Spoiler free of course, but that’s up to you. For myself, I picked a fight between Trinity and Nyx to showcase the action and female characters. You also provide a little information and a set up to the scene they will post. It’s $10 for the post, which hits all their social media. You’ll find a lot of sites are going for a $10 price tag on such things. Best part is that with a $2.99+ book, it’s easy to get your money back here.
I also bought their $25 sidebar ad service, which makes Allure of the Gypsies a Featured Post for 30 days. This is my first time attempting a long-term banner ad on a site, but I’m ready to give it a shot. What you see at the top is the sidebar ad.
A big thank you to Susan for introducing me to this site. I hope people give the site a look and enjoy. Also, check out Red Clay & Roses.

Thanks for the shout out, but I must say that Kevin Brennan, author of Yesterday Road passed the info to me from here: http://kevinbrennanbooks.wordpress.com/
when he used it. I haven’t tried it yet but it is next on my list 🙂 Thanks Kevin!

It’s surprisingly simple to set up once you choose a scene. I’ll have my work cut out for me on the next book. I’m curious to see how the 30 day sidebar ad does too.

I did not know that they offered that but this is a very reasonable rate from what I have seen.

It was a little further down the page. I was reading it and did the ‘what’s that other thing with a dollar sign there?’ Like a child seeing an unguarded cookie jar. 🙂

It is that sort of curiosity that lends you such a creative mind.

And allows me to keep up with the toddler. Though, he catches me off guard as tomorrow’s post might show.
