So, this morning started as normal. Woke up and got the toddler’s lunch and breakfast ready. Checked him and he was asleep. Started getting everything else ready and checked on him a few times. Each time he was out and then this happens:
Me: ACHOO!! ACHOO!!
Toddler: God bless you!
Me: Are you awake?
Toddler: *fake snoring*
Me: Your eyes are closed, but your grinning.
Toddler: *nothing*
Me: I’m going to put Wreck-It-Ralph on.
Toddler: I want little guys!
So, we’re arguing with him about getting ready for school or showing him the Minions Banana mini-movie. It’s hard to find this thing on Youtube and we don’t own the DVD, so I kind of wish he’d get hooked on something else. Anyway, this is how my morning started and it brought a smile to my face.

That’s adorable! 🙂
There’s one kid at my work who won’t wake up from nap unless I tickle him. He knows I know he’s awake, but unless I tickle his belly, he won’t budge.

I hope that holds after I bring him to an allergist appointment today. If they do shots then he won’t be happy with me.

Yup. Hoping it’s a sign that I’ll get a lot of work done too. I really want to get that week of notebooking ideas and relaxing.

It’ll be an adjustment since he’s too young to understand. Plus here is that he doesn’t get a respiratory or skin reaction.

I didn’t post him in costume. It’s been really busy since then.

Stories like this make me miss working with toddlers – in my opinion, this is one of the best stages of childhood!

This one has decided today is for tantrums. I’ll send him to you if you miss toddlers that much. 😉

Toddler tantrums didn’t bother me! However if I had to sub in a room with 5 year olds who were usually as tall as me and knew how to talk, then I was the one in the corner throwing a fit. Hang in there – his emotional roller coaster is simply preparing you for the teen years!

If he makes it that far. 😉
