A night’s sleep
Leading to a groggy morning
A delicious meal
Turning on you as the sun sinks
A chronic cough
That is immune to every med
Don’t you hate it
When you’re destined for fatigue?
Rough night apparently. We thought my cough was allergy-based, so I took some ‘knock you out’ Benadryl. It helped me sleep, but I woke up feeling like I was run over by a truck. So it some pretty cruddy sleep. This happens more often than I’d like to admit.
interesting thought…

I’m still trudging along. Just a nasty cough that’s worse at night.

It’s something else. I have seasonal allergies and that could be it. The problem is that the medicine that stops the cough makes me wake up drowsy.

Seasonal Allergies are the worst. I am asthmatic and find that a spray or two of saline in each nostril helps. Sounds goofy but seems to work.

I’ll give it a shot. The whole thing is in the chest though. Almost like I’m choking on the pollen.

Wet nasal passage catches more allergens. Dry time of year as well.

If you drink some hot water with a large spoon of honey mixed in before you go to bed it should ease the coughing

Thanks. I’ve been doing cold water bottles, but that sounds better.

I’ve also heard some hot brandy or whiskey is good too. Whatever it does it sooth the chest and eases whatever is irritating the cough.

Fresh out of brandy and whiskey, which is a shame.

Don’t let the cough go on for too long before seeing the doctor. It could also be bacterial, or have you already looked into that. Sorry, I’m so behind on reading. Just hope you get better soon.

I checked with the doctor and it’s a remnant of the flu. Should go away over time.

I hope you can shake this sickness very soon Charles. That alone will wear you out.

This is a new one and could be allergies. This is a rough time of year for me.

Sorry to hear you are still sick. I think your body is saying it needs more sleep than you allow it, no?

I’m sleeping a bunch. It could also be that it’s jumped from 40’s to 70’s, which always throws me off.
