Invasion of the Unwanted

Buzzing among the lights

Skittering in the dark

The infestation has begun

They strike without a care

Causing pain and strife

I try to stop their entry

Yet they also slip inside

Finding holes I did not see

Or waiting by the door

To scuttle in as I come and go

I hear them in my sleep

And find them when I wake

Destroying all I find

But there is always more

About Charles Yallowitz

Charles E. Yallowitz was born, raised, and educated in New York. Then he spent a few years in Florida, realized his fear of alligators, and moved back to the Empire State. When he isn't working hard on his epic fantasy stories, Charles can be found cooking or going on whatever adventure his son has planned for the day. 'Legends of Windemere' is his first series, but it certainly won't be his last.

Ugh. I hate bugs, particularly the eight-legged ones.

Every time I think I want to move back to New Orleans I remember the flying bugs I put up with for 50 years. OMG! None of that here and I’m grateful for it.
