Legends of Windemere: Prodigy of Rainbow Tower is doing good as it nears the weekend. It showed up on Goodkindles, but nothing on Novelspot and AskDavid.com. So, some of the advertising is kicking in. Hopefully the free weekend for Legends of Windemere: Beginning of a Hero helps.
I found that most sites for free book promotions require a week to 48 hours notice and a lot of them don’t guarantee perfect timing on your book’s ad release. That is unless you pay money to push yourself to the front of the line. So, I went with the following site for it because they have you set it up the day you’re free and you go up immediately:
So, it’s going to be interesting to see how the free weekend goes for my book and how Prodigy of Rainbow Tower does. Now back to my regularly scheduled morning of cursing the alarm clock.
Best of luck with the weekend sales, Charles! You deserve to get a huge bump up!

Thanks. It’s going to be an interesting weekend. Not sure how often I’ll check because I don’t want to kill myself on this.

Good luck with that 😉

Good luck this weekend! I know I saw at least two people on my facebook newsfeed who indicated they had downloaded the first one

I have about 15 free downloads on the book. I’m hoping people grab the new one too when they grab the first.

Must try Goodkindles.

It’s definitely a useful site. They added a new feature where you have a one time book bump. This allows you to request your book go back on the front page and get moved down the list again. Helps with promoting series.

Thanks. Means AskDavid should be sometime today.

That is good! What I thought was weird was I didn’t list ‘A Girl Named Cord’ on askdavid.com, but it was already there when I did a search for ‘Briana Vedsted’. When I searched for you, only Beginning of a Hero came up.

Maybe somebody else put it in for you?

Seriously, I don’t know anyone who would do that…other than you. And by your surprised tone, I’m going to guess it wasn’t you. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.)

I don’t think I could. I’d have had to pay the $15 to have it move quickly. I noticed that there wasn’t much under your posts, so whoever did it lacked a lot of info. That could be why it went through so quickly. I put a lot of info into mine.

When I listed “Margaret Hearst” And “Boot Hill” it didn’t ask for that much information. That’s why those books look like that, but I still have no idea who would have listed “Cord”. Hmm, maybe I did it while I was asleep? This is sort of crazy.

Maybe the guy who did your cover art or something? It’s a mystery we’ll never solve.

No, I doubt it was him.
But you’re right, it will be one of those mysteries I’ll never find an answer for. Hmmm……. 😛

I see it on there, but it doesn’t have as much information as Beginning of a Hero. It’s listed as an eBook while the others are books, so that might have been my bad.

It shows both the book and eBook for all of mine, which is weird, because I only listed the eBooks to begin with. Maybe it is an automatic listing once an author adds their information?

The full site just went live and they had a place holder for a while. I think they take stuff off Amazon if the author is already in their system. Bestiary of Blatherhorn Vale is in there.

Okay, so maybe not so mysterious after all! 🙂

I hope so. Trying to repeat what I did last time, but it was during a hot book time. Summer will be tougher, so I’m trying to trade Pinterest stuff and guest blogs with people. Need to spread my name out there too.

You are welcome to do a guest blog on my site anytime. I don’t know how to set that up but you can tell/show me.

I can write it up and e-mail it to you with links and pictures. Probably one of the cover art pieces. Any topic you want me to write about or a tone? I’m not very good at coming off the cuff.

I will let you pick the topic. You know best what you need to say.

Hi Charles,
Sorry I didn’t get around to participating in the promotion. I have however sent links to your books to my husband who is a big fan of fantasy and also has a number of friends who read similar stuff. Wishing you all the best with the new book!
